With all the recent cruelty we are being subjected to via social media platforms, I feel so compelled to add my voice to the protest against all this hate speech with regard to transgender people.
Do we not want to progress and be better people and want to see others happy with their lives? Often it seems like many just want to make other people's lives an absolute nightmare and misery. Generally I would say that it says more about the person who vents vitriol towards people who they have never met, however this cruel attitude needs to stop. When you have people who are rolling in money (which obviously isn't making them happy) hurling insults at transgender people on social media platforms, then I feel it's time to step in to help support this fight against anti-transgender and homophobia. "A man is a man and a woman is a woman" is the argument which you hear constantly online, however what you are seeing and what people are feeling is completely different. If you look at yourself in the mirror and you feel you are in the wrong body then it must feel like hell. What gives anyone the right to tell others how to feel? Emotions are very complex and no one has the right to dictate emotion. Countless suicides and murders are happening because of this hate spreading, why would you want to encourage this? No matter what choices people make about themselves it has nothing to do with anyone else. How can their personal decisions impact on your life? You don't know what pain another is feeling, we all at some point in our lives need support from others. This hate speech needs to stop. The world would be a better place for everyone if you keep the big fella out of other people's business and emotions. I support transgender and because of this hatred caused by JK Rowling and her followers we need to stand together against this cruelty. Sending love to everyone, Micci xx She's Got Claws
