My first blog for this year!
Since September 2014 I have been working on songs to create my concept EP called Synthetic Emotion. To create a concept, you need to write many songs to find the right ones which fit well together to tell the story.
The artwork is now on its way to the printers, which is very exciting! I have spent 4 days on this artwork to make sure I am happy with this and fits visually well with the concept.
O-Ten Photography took the photos included in the EP and on my website. There is a little trickery used to create a humanoid of myself. It did however take 2 cans of white hair spray, tons of white stage make-up and a Cyberdog top turned backwards to create this look.
The eyes and headphones were placed onto me in photoshop. I suppose the eyes are possible as contacts and if I could find headphones similar to these then that would be brilliant! <3
Here is a brief synopsis of Synthetic Emotion;
A love story between a humanoid called Manchine and her creator. Synthetic Emotion is a concept EP which tells the story of how Manchine develops and experiences human emotions, thus taking her on a journey to become the future of mankind.
I Die For You - begins the tale of the creator programming Manchine to learn, love and feel.
Hurtbeat - expresses how lonely she feels as her human creator dies and leaves her all alone.
Manchine - where she finds her calling as a creator who recreates the man whom she has lost.
Utopia - the beginning of a new world where machine lives together with humankind as an equal.
There is a snippet of Hurtbeat (track two on Synthetic Emotion) which you listen to on Soundcloud (link below). There is also a private playlist of all 4 songs, which is only for the chosen few in the music industry to listen to.
Mechanical PR is handling the promotional side of this EP, so if you are a DJ who works at a radio station or in the clubs please get in touch. She's Got Claws is PRS registered, so the EP will only be given to people who pay performance royalties.
Anyway I will sign off now and keep a mental note to self to Blog more often to keep you up to date with all things music :)
Hope all is well in your world of electronics,
